Police are looking for a suspect in a near-fatal stabbing of a man that occurred just outside Mayor Wright Homes, only three days after a separate stabbing in the same area.
According to police, this most recent stabbing happened Sunday morning around 2 a.m. fronting the public housing complex.
Details about what led up to the stabbing are scarce, but police did say that a 34-year-old man was critically injured and is currently being treated at Queen's Medical Center.
Detectives are compiling information about the suspect, who remains at large, but the alleged stabber was described as an unknown man.
This stabbing comes the day after another stabbing suspect was charged with attempted murder in an attack that sent a man in his 20's to the hospital in stable condition.
24-year-old John Posco Sukuruta, described as being homeless, is charged with stabbing the man four times in his cheek and shoulder around 1:30 a.m. Thursday.
Police say the attack was unprovoked.
Security guards at Mayor Wright say the victim is a resident at the complex.
Sukuruta is being held on $77,000 bail.
These incidents represent the third and fourth stabbings in the area in the past six months.
