A teen's first drive in her new car was interrupted by a police chase.

Officers said two people crashed a stolen truck near Northwest 36th Street and Blackwelder Avenue in Oklahoma City.

Police said the truck smashed into the back of a car driven by a 16-year-old.

KOCO spoke with the girl's grandfather right after the crash.

"I just got it for Christmas for her.  She wanted a Cube, I just got it for Christmas.  This was the first day to drive it with her driver's license because she didn't want to drive it alone, she wanted me to go with her," said Gorman Newton.

No one was seriously injured.

The suspects were both taken into custody after a brief foot chase.
