600-pound sea lion halts traffic and shocks pedestrians while crossing the street in a Brazilian beach town.
It is unsure why the sea lion chose to explore the shops along the coast, but once he was ready to go he began waddling back home, using the the crosswalk no less.
The journey, which began at 5 p.m., was not over until 7 p.m. Saturday.
Balneário Camboriú officials assisted the nine foot sea lion by showering it with water to keep it wet.
Onlookers posted plenty of footage online and here's one of those first-hand accounts from YouTuber, Osvídeos de Hoje.
It shows the sea lion moving at a fast pace and then becoming frustrated by the huge crowds.
Luckily, reports say the sea lion returned to the South Atlantic Ocean safely.
