Maseeh Ganjali talks about the man he says assaulted him in Moiliili on Wednesday.

HONOLULU -

The man who police say was attacked on Wednesday in Moiliili speaks out about the assault.

Jamal Morris was arrested in the assault.  He was also arrested Saturday night after a terroristic threatening incident near Da Spot.

The victim in the assault, Maseeh Ganjali, says he and Saturday night's victim went to the same church as Morris.

Ganjali says Morris seemed normal when he offered him a ride.

"As soon as I pulled over the car, the car was still running.  It wasn't even dark," said Ganjali.  "I had my seat belt on.  I looked to the left to see if my car was OK and the next thing, he jumped on me and put me in a head lock and was trying to poke out my eye."

"I don't think it's a religious thing because we're all of the same religion.  I just think that this is someone that has lost their mind," said Ganjali.

Ganjali says Morris has mentioned two people by name that he's threatening to kill.

Morris remains in police custody.
