Attorney Gen. to investigate palace break-in
The state's top law enforcement official is being put to the task after a Hawaii landmark was vandalized over the weekend.
Hawaii Attorney General David Louie will investigate the destruction of the original glass on a door at the 'Iolani Palace.
The glass was extremely rare -- made of crystal and was more than 130 years old. The palace curator is not sure if she will be able to find a replacement.
Police arrested two people in the case. Koa Alii Keaulana and Drew Pa'ahao were charged with outstanding warrants in connection with other cases and released while police continue the investigation.
