PAIA, Hawaii -

Maui County officials say Baldwin Park in Paia was closed Thursday after high surf flooded the area overnight.

The park gates remain locked and workers will reevaluate whether the park can be reopened on Friday.

The pavilion area and some parking lots at Baldwin Park were closed on Wednesday due to flooding from the surf.

A high surf warning is posted for the state until at least 6 p.m. Thursday.
