Fire crews arrived at Akanikolea Street at around 9:16 a.m.  The flames were extinguished by 10 a.m.

The 3-story structure did not have a permit, according to fire officials.  One person was living in the home.  No injuries were reported.

Damage was estimated at $30,000.  The cause of the fire is under investigation.

Police say the fire is suspicious and have not ruled out arson.
