Big Island man paralyzed after being shot in the back
A man who was shot in his back twice by a neighbor is said to be paralyzed and getting treatment at The Queen's Medical Center.
According to the Hawaii Tribune Herald, 37-year-old Daniel Moriarty was the victim of an attempted-murder in Ka'u at the Hawaiian Ocean View Estates subdivision last week.
48-year-old Clyde Criswell who lived in a nearby dwelling allegedly entered Moriarty's home and shot him before walking into the yard where investigators say he took his own life.
The single father of three remains paralyzed from the waist down as police continue their investigation. He's asking for people to pray for him Sunday at 2 p.m.
