Hawaii Department of Health officials have issued a brown water advisory on Maui between Black Rock and Honolua Bay due to the heavy rains.

The public is advised to stay out of flood waters and storm water runoff due to possible overflowing cesspools, sewer manholes pesticides, animal fecal matter, dead animals, pathogens, chemicals, and associated flood debris.

Turbid water runoff have been known to attract sharks due to possible dead animals being washed into the ocean.  If the coastal waters are brown, stay out.
