Chopper makes hard landing in Kona
One person was hospitalized complaining of back pain after a helicopter made a hard landing Monday afternoon in Kailua-Kona, according to the Federal Aviation Administration.
The chopper came down about 600 feet short of Kona International Airport at around 5 p.m.
The FAA says the AS350 sustained substantial damage.
A second person on board the chopper was not injured.
