Court documents detail campsite of murdered woman
Court documents say there was evidence of a body being dragged at the campsite of Brittany-Jane Royal, the woman found in waters off Kalapana last month.
Authorities say her cause of death was strangulation.
The Hawaii Tribune-Herald reports the 25-year-old shared the campsite with her boyfriend Boaz Johnson, who remains missing.
Court documents also say a bundled nylon fiber rope, consistent with the marks found on Royal's body, was found at the campsite along with two clotheslines. One clothesline had been cut with nothing attached to it. The other clothesline was strung between two trees with several items of clothing and "possible trace blood evidence."
Police consider Johnson to be a missing person and have not excluded him as a suspect in Royal's death. Johnson's family believes their loved one may also be a victim of foul play.
