It was absolute chaos Monday morning at the Neal Blaisdell Center as the April concerts for Hawaii boy Bruno Mars went on sale.

After Sunday's Super Bowl halftime performance, the demand for tickets was high.

Bruno's camp decided to add a third concert on Monday, April 21.  But, there were still some frustrated fans.

"A little disappointed.  It's like a little time wasted," said Justin Magusara.  "But, we are diehard Bruno Mars fans."

For others, it was pure delight.  Some camped out overnight to make sure to get tickets for their favorite pop star.

On Monday, the halls of the Blaisdell Center buzzed with excitement from people in line waiting for tickets.

"I'm here because I really want to get Bruno Mars tickets!" said Valerie Kan.

Soon, many people's mood shifted from giddy to angry when organizers ignored the line and told everyone to draw a random number from a box.  That would be your new place in line.

But, getting a token didn't mean you were guaranteed a ticket.  It just got you a place in the line at the box office.  And when fans turned to online ticket sales, they say it was also a disappointment.

"It was really frustrating because I actually had tried it a couple of times and it said approximately waiting 7, 8 minutes.  And then it pops up saying the tickets aren't available right now," said Melissa Tran.

But, concert officials say the ticket buying process was fair for everyone.

"It 9-o'clock this morning, whether you were standing at the window or you were online, you got the same chance," said promoter Tom Moffatt.

And some fans say their commitment, with a side of luck, paid off.

"I got two floor seats for Bruno Mars on Saturday night!  Wahoo!" said Kan.

But, for those who weren't so fortunate, replaying Bruno's Super Bowl halftime show will have to do.

Concert officials say tickets for all three shows -- April 18, 19, and 21 -- were sold out by noon.
