HONOLULU -

Roads from Honolulu to Wahiawa were closed Wednesday due to down power lines.

Hawaiian Electric Company says work to repair a damaged pole and downed lines in Wahiawa left 50 homes without power. About 800 customers were without power Wednesday morning, but HECO crews were able to restore power to most of those homes by 2 p.m.  Repairs were fully completed by 4:30 a.m. Thursday.

Honolulu police say the Old Waialae Road on-ramp to the H-1 Freeway in the westbound direction was closed due to down power lines Wednesday afternoon.  About 200 customers in the area were affected by an outage.  The outage was reported at around 2:15 p.m.  Power was restored by 5 p.m.

The Traffic Management Center also says the Hawaiian Electric Company was working on power lines that came down in the Iwilei area.  Power for 200 customers was restored by 4 p.m.

Traffic signals were also out on Farrington Highway in Nanakuli.  The Traffic Management Center says about 1,000 customers were without power.  By 5 p.m., about 400 customers were without power in Nanakuli. The remaining 600 customers received power shortly before 7 p.m.
