Ewa barricade suspect charged
Honolulu police say Mark Char, 55, was charged with firearms violations and terroristic threatening after barricading himself inside an Ewa home last Wednesday night.
The incident began around 8 p.m. when an officer went to Halolani Street to investigate a disturbance call.
Investigators say Char was armed and refused arrested.
Char surrendered peacefully at around 5:30 a.m. Thursday. No one was injured.
Char was charged with failure to have a place to keep a pistol or revolver and second-degree terroristic threatening.
He was released after posting a $25,000 bond. He is scheduled to be arraigned Wednesday morning in District Court.
