MOUNTAIN VIEW, Hawaii -

A violent dispute on the Big Island ended with a father and his adult son in custody, according to police.

Jonathan Rodrigues Sr. was arrested Tuesday morning after officers were called to the Mountain View home the night before.

According to police, when officers secured the home Rodrigues came out with a rifle and pointed it at officers.  He was arrested for terroristic threatening and second-degree assault.

Neighbors say Rodrigues attacked his son and daughter with a machete or cane knife.

"I heard him yelling, 'I'm going to kill you.'  Full on rage," said John Silva.  "I heard him hitting something and he just kept screaming, 'I am going to kill you.'"

Jonathan Rodrigues Jr. appeared in court Tuesday morning with substantial injuries to his head, neck and body.  Police arrested him for unrelated bench warrants.
