Honolulu fire officials say a search was resumed Monday morning for a hiker who was with a party of five Sunday at the Manana Trail in Pearl City.
One man split up with the rest of the group while on the trail just before reaching the waterfall area.
The group thought they'd see one of the hikers at the parking lot, but when he didn't show up they called fire crews at around 4:30 p.m.
Fire crews suspended the search at 6:30 p.m.
Fire officials say the missing man did not have a cell phone, food or water.
The man was airlifted off the trail at around 7:30 a.m. Monday.
