"I don't know what to think, because this is two people that would do anything for anybody.  And now, they lost everything," said Jessica Ligorio, the homeowner's granddaughter.

At home, where three generations grew up, now gutted.  Destroyed by an early morning fire on Pono Street that started just before 3 a.m.

A neighbor captured a video that shows the single-story home engulfed in flames, which went 20 feet high.

"It was fully involved when our first company arrived," said Battalion Chief Ed Simeona.

Firefighters quickly responded, but they say salvaging the home is impossible.

"We had four cars that were also involved and at that particular time we had three occupants," said Simeona.

Luckily, mother, father and son got out alive only to see 57 years of memories up in flames.

"My grandma them's wedding pictures, pictures of my life, my dad's life.  Grandma had everything.  Everything was in there," said Ligorio.

Firefighters are searching for a cause of the fire.  They are focused on an area near the home's carport , which was sprayed with water and compressed air foam.

"Because of the collapse, we think that it is in the delta alpha corner, which is that front corner," said Simeona.

With the home burnt out, the family began to lose hope, then they recovered a wedding picture of grandma and grandpa -- the only photo salvaged from the charred remains.

"This is the heart of our family right here, and to think they made it and only this picture made it -- it's kind of shocking," said Ligorio.

The homeowners lost their two dogs and bird in the fire.  Damage is estimated at $425,000 which includes the home, its contents and the four cars.
