A former Sacred Hearts Academy teacher accused of sexually assaulting a student has been granted supervised release on Wednesday.
William Plourde pleaded not guilty to six counts of third-degree sexual assault and one count of first degree sexual assault.
"Over two dozen letters were sent in from various members of the community, and I'm not talking about family members. Friends and people who have known Mr. Plourde for many years and trust and believe in his innocence." said attorney Myles Breiner. "We look forward to our day in court."
Trial is scheduled for October.
