HONOLULU -

Schools and businesses know that recycling saves resources and saves money.
Please stop by the events to dispose of your unwanted items knowing that everything is recycled and nothing goes to the landfill.

Recycling is as popular as ever with two "Going Green" recycling events in the month of May:

Day: Saturday, May 25, 2013
Time: 9:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.
Place: Washington Middle School, 1633 South King St.
One-stop drop off convenience extravaganza and curbside pick-up available on request.

Day: Friday, May 31, 2013
Time: 9:00 a.m. - 11:30 a.m.
Place: State Labor and Tax Building, 830 Punchbowl St.
Limited items: metal, electronic items, cartridges, batteries, eyeglasses, canned goods, etc.

"Going Green" helps the community to celebrate Earth Day every day to raise awareness and divert waste from our landfills, preserve natural resources, and also a fundraiser for our schools during these times of budget cuts and belt tightening.
Everything collected does not go in our landfills.
