Green lasers not harmful, USACE explains planes scanning Oahu
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers shed some light on the green lasers seen around Oahu Saturday night.
The USACE says the plane scanning the island was collecting mapping data, and assured that the lasers won't hurt anyone's eyes. Work was done at night due to daytime airspace restrictions.
Remaining flights on Oahu will be done during the day through at least next week. Then the flights will move to the neighbor islands for daytime work.
