HONOLULU -

A state judge apparently had enough and threw a habitual drunken driver on Kauai behind bars.

Police arrested 48-year-old Dominic Murguia on April 30 on suspicion of drunken driving.

It was the sixth time he'd been charged with that crime since 1999.

Court records show that, at the time of the arrest, Murguia was also on probation for a previous DUI offense and was driving with a suspended license while on a three-day pass from a rehab program on Oahu.

Last week, a judge revoked his probation and sentenced him to five years in prison.
