The State Civil Defense will conduct tests of the Outdoor Siren Warning System on the islands of Kauai and Oahu on Mar. 20.

On Kauai, sirens will be tested island wide beginning at 11:45 a.m.

On Oahu, the siren testing schedule will be held between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. in areas near Waipahu High School and Hahaione Valley.

Residents in these areas may hear the sirens sound for 30-seconds during the identified timeframes. The tests are to verify upgraded siren controls on Kauai and new installations on Oahu.
