Catching a flight to Hawaii is becoming a never-ending story for some Hawaiian Airlines passengers.

HONOLULU -

A Hawaiian Airlines flight from Las Vegas to Honolulu has been delayed for a third time. The previous delays were due to computer problems on two separate jets.

The flight finally arrived in Honolulu early Wednesday morning.  It took almost two full days, with a layover in Los Angeles, for the passengers to get to Hawaii.

Hawaiian Airlines apologizes for the delays, and says the primary concern is safety.

Passengers were expected to board Tuesday at 6 p.m. PST, but have been delayed until 11:30 p.m. No word on what has caused the third delay.

One passenger expressed fear about getting on another plane with all of the problems the planes have been having.

"Now we're like, we want to get away from the crew.  Away from the pilot.  Away from all of the people on this plane.  We want it to be completely different. (laughs).  It's just too scary.  It's crazy," said Mary Chambrella of Ewa Beach.

The first flight, Flight HA 7, left Las Vegas Monday morning at 9 a.m. PST and was set to arrive in Hawaii at 12:15 p.m.  But, it landed in Los Angeles after an indicator light showed a possible problem with the plane's air conditioning system, according to Hawaiian Airlines.  The airlines says it was not mandatory that the pilot landed the plane, but it was the pilot's call.

The 180 passengers were left at Los Angeles International Airport.

Hawaiian Airlines says a sensor was replaced on the plane.  Passengers say they couldn't get flights on other airlines because of spring break.

The passengers then boarded another Hawaiian Airlines jet at around 6:40 a.m. Hawaii time on Tuesday.  That plane was also delayed because of a computer error.  Passengers waited in the plane for about three hours before they were told there was a problem.

Hawaiian says the passengers were put up in airport hotels, provided food and given $400 travel vouchers.
