Hawaii's Bruno Mars receives 4 Grammy Award nominations

HONOLULU -

Hawaii's Bruno Mars has been nominated for four awards at the 56th Annual Grammy Awards, including Song of the Year and Record of the Year.

Mars' "Locked Out of Heaven" is up for Record of the Year and Song of the Year.  Mars is also nominated for Best Pop Solo Performance for "When I Was Your Man" and Best Pop Vocal Album for "Unorthodox Jukebox."

Mars is up against some of the year's major new talent, including pop vocalist Lorde and rappers Macklemore & Ryan Lewis.  The artist up for the most awards this year is Jay Z, with nine nominations.

The 56th Annual Grammy Awards will be held on Jan. 26, 2014.  The award show will be broadcast on CBS at 8 p.m.
