HONOLULU -

Honolulu Community College told students and faculty that a suspicious individual was seen near the school and was advising people to stay away from campus Tuesday morning.

Honolulu police told campus security that the man was wearing khaki shorts and possibly carrying a rifle.  The man was also not wearing a shirt.

HCC says there was no indication that the man is on campus.  However, the administration was asking those on campus to be on the lookout and call 911 or campus security at 808-284-1270 immediately.

Police gave HCC the all clear at 10:52 a.m.  Officers checked the area and found no threat.
