HONOLULU -

The Honolulu medical examiner has released the identity of a 70-year-old man who died after a fall at the Mariner's Ridge Trail in East Honolulu on Sunday.

The man was identified as Paul Yoon.  Yoon's official cause of death was accidental.  The medical examiner says he suffered cranial, cervical and spine injuries.

Yoon was with the Honolulu Korean Hikers Club.

Investigators say he was on the trail near the scenic lookout when he lost his footing and fell.

The Honolulu Fire Department transported the hiker to Kamiloiki Community Park, where ambulance crews were not able to revive him.

Yoon was one of two hikers who died from injuries suffered in fall on Oahu trails over the weekend.
