About 600 homes in the Moanalua Valley are without water after a 16-inch water main broke.

HONOLULU -

About 600 homes in Moanalua Valley were without water Thursday due to a water main break, according to the Board of Water Supply officials.

The Board of Water Supply says a contractor damaged a 16-inch main at the Moanalua Golf Club at around 1 p.m.

A water wagon was stationed at the corner of Ala Aolani Street and Ala Hekili Place to provide water to affected customers.  Residents can also call the BWS at 748-5000 and press "1" at the menu to request for a water wagon that will be roving in the area.

Kaiser Permanente Moanalua Medical Center and Clinic was also affected by the break.  Water was restored at around 2:37 p.m.

No roads were closed due to the water main break.

Water service was fully restored by 2:30 a.m. Friday.
