All of this rain caused some dangerous flood conditions on Kamehameha Highway near Waikane Valley Road on Wednesday night.

Kamehameha Highway at Waikane Valley Road was closed in both directions due to flooding overnight.

The National Weather Service upgraded a flood advisory for the island of Oahu to a flash flood warning until 11:35 p.m. Wednesday.

A thunderstorm cell stretched out between Kaneohe and Laie for about three hours overnight.

Waikane Stream rose about 7 feet in an hour.

Kamehameha Highway was reopened at around 12:30 a.m. Thursday.
