A zedonk, a part zebra part donkey hybrid, has been born on a central Kansas exotic animal farm, the farm's owners said.
The zedonk, named June after country star June Carter Cash, was born in mid-December, according to owners Joe and Sondra Hedrick.
The Hedricks said June joins fellow zedonks Waylen and Wille on the farm, located in Nickerson, Kan. They also said June the zedonk has her mother's ears and father's stripes.
These zedonks are not the only zedonks in the country: CNN reports that a zedonk named Pippi was born at a Georgia wildlife preserve in July. Pippi's parents Zeke a zebra and Sarah a donkey. Zedonks have also been born in the United Kingdom, according to media reports.
Guided tours to see June and other exotic animals on the farm are required. You can find out more information by visiting the Hedrick Exotic Animal Farm website or by calling 1-888-489-8039.
