HONOLULU -

Kauai High School's Red Raiders knocked off perennial Division II state champion Iolani in Honolulu Saturday.

Iolani had won the previous six state titles in the lower division and was poised to return to the title game next weekend. But Kauai had other ideas. The final score was 28-7, according to scoringlive.com

Iolani hosted Kauai at its Moiliili campus Saturday in a semi-final matchup. Kauai got to the semifinal round by beating Pearl City last week at Vidinha Stadium on Kauai.

Kauai now awaits the winner of the game between Kaiser and Lahainaluna high schools at War Memorial Stadium in Wailuku Saturday night.

The Division II title game will be the first of two titles game at Aloha Stadium next Saturday.

The Division I title game will feature ILH champion Punahou versus OIA champ Mililani.
