Lihue Walmart evacuated after bomb threat

Officials say a man called the Lihue Walmart saying there was bomb in the toy department.

LIHUE, Hawaii -

The Lihue Walmart was evacuated Friday night after a man called the store at approximately 9:14 p.m. and said that a bomb was situated in the toy department, according to Kauai police.

The patrons were evacuated and both entrances to the store were closed.

Police conducted a search for the alleged device, but none was found.  The search was completed at about 11:25 p.m.

There are no suspects in this case. Anyone with information about this incident is asked to call Police Dispatch at 241-1711.
