KAILUA, Hawaii -

A man in his 20s died after falling about 50 feet while hiking on Mount Olomana on Friday, according to fire officials.

Fire officials say the man was hiking between the second and third peak when he slipped off a rope.  It was possibly raining when he fell.

The man was hiking with a woman and there was another party of two men right behind the victim.  They were all rescued by a Honolulu Fire Department helicopter and taken to Maunawili Valley Neighborhood Park.

We will have more on this story tonight on KITV4 News at 5, 6 and 10.
