Man hit by trolley in Kaka'ako dies

Honolulu police say a man hit by a trolley in Kaka'ako Thursday night was initially lifeless, but was revived at the hospital.

HONOLULU -

The Honolulu Medical Examiner's office says a man who was hit by a trolley on Ala Moana Boulevard near Kamakee Street died on Saturday.

The man was identified by the medical examiner as 40-year-old Antonio Lincoln.  His death was ruled an accident.

Police say an E Noa trolley traveling west on Ala Moana Boulevard had the green light when the man ran across the roadway and got hit at 11 p.m. Thursday.

"The male initially was lifeless at the scene and was taken to the Queen's Medical Center where they were able to do CPR and revive him," said Lt. Bobby Towne of the Honolulu Police Department's Traffic Division.

Lincoln was hospitalized Thursday night and died on Saturday.

Ala Moana Boulevard was closed in the westbound direction for nearly three hours as police investigated before it reopened.
