The U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force arrested a 42-year-old Texas man in Kapolei on Thursday.
Adrian Gamble of Galveston was located on Komohana Street. He is wanted by the County of Galveston for indecency with a child and sexual contact.
On Sept., 20, 2008, Gamble was accused of intentionally engaging in sexual contact with a child younger than 17 years of age. At the time of the incident, the child was 9 years old and under the care of Gamble.
On March 22, 2011, a grand jury arrest warrant for Gamble was issued by the Galveston County District Attorney's office, but Gamble had already fled Texas.
In December 2013, Texas U.S. marshals tracked Gamble to Honolulu and contacted U.S. marshals in Hawaii.
After conducting surveillance and following up on leads, on March 27 at approximately 10:30 a.m., U.S. Marshals, Hawaii State Sheriffs, and ICE-ERO Agents located Gamble at an address in Kapolei where he was taken into custody.
Gamble was transported and booked into the Honolulu Police Department Central Receiving pending a court appearance and extradition hearing back to Texas.
