Maui firefighters have rescued a hiker from the Lahaina-Pali trail.
Fire officials say a man in his 50's or 60's fainted while hiking the trail Tuesday morning. He was traveling with four friends who managed to catch him so he didn't strike his head on any rocks. The man still suffered some scrapes.
Firefighters airlifted the man because earlier rains made the rocky trail slippery than normal.
The hiker was airlifted to a landing zone where and ambulance transported him to Maui Memorial Medical Center in stable condition.
