Maui High School band receives invitation to perform at Rose Parade

For the first time, a valley isle school has been invited to perform during the highly publicized Rose Parade.

HONOLULU -

Maui High School's Saber Marching Band & Color Guard has been invited to the 126th Annual Rose Parade in California.

The band and color guard's 110 students will strut the streets of Pasadena.

It will be the first appearance for the Hawaii public school band since Pearl City in 2006.

Maui High is the second neighbor island school to be selected for the popular parade.

The 2015 Rose Parade airs nationally on January 1st.
