A report released by the Honolulu Medical Examiner Friday indicated that a visitor, who went missing late May and was later found dead, was killed by an injury to her neck.
Ivanice "Ivy" Harris, 28, was last seen by friends in the early morning hours of May 16 as she stood outside the bar Kelley O'Neil's in Waikiki. But as her friends exited a taxi cab, Harris was gone. Her naked body was found four days later in some brush at Yokohama Bay, a desolate beach on Oahu's west end.
Harris was four weeks pregnant when she was killed.
On June 5 Honolulu police arrested Nathaniel Cosby on suspicion of second-degree murder. A 38-year-old U.S. Marine on temporary assignment in Hawaii, Cosby was not charged with the crime because police said there wasn't enough evidence to charge him.
He was released two days later, with the investigation into the death of Harris being transferred over to Naval Criminal Investigative Services (NCIS).
