Medical examiner trying to identify 2 homeless men

The Department of the Medical Examiner is asking the media for assistance with the identification of two homeless men who died earlier this year.

The medical examiner describes the first man as Asian, between 55 and 75 years old, 5-feet-7-inches tall and weighing 114 pounds with gray hair and brown eyes.

This man used to sleep on the sidewalk near Ala Wai Community Park at 2132 Kapiolani Boulevard.  He died on Jan. 30.

He is a possible St. Louis High School graduate and may have served in the Air Force.

The medical examiner describes the second man as Caucasian, between 50 and 70 years old, 5-feet-10-inches-tall and weighing 125 pounds with white hair and blue eyes.

This man used to sleep on a bus stop bench at the intersection of Kalakaua Avenue and South King Street.  He died on Jan. 16.

He has a large vertical scar on his chest or abdomen.  He also may have served in the military.
