Updated On: Jun 07 2013 10:24:32 AM HST
The man arrested in connection with the murder of an Oregon woman was released Friday morning pending further investigation, according to police.
Nathaniel Cosby, 38, was arrested at the Honolulu International Airport on Wednesday. He is a Marine based out of Japan.
Cosby was taken into custody in connection with the death of Ivanice "Ivy" Harris from Portland, Ore. She was in Hawaii to celebrate her birthday when she went missing last month. Her body was found near Yokohama Bay.
A spokesman for the prosecutor's office says Cosby isn't going to be charged at this time in the death of Harris. Prosecuting Attorney spokesman Dave Koga says charges are pending test results.
Prosecutors have up to 48 hours to charge a suspect once an arrest is made.
The medical examiner's office is awaiting test results before determining a cause of death.
