A New Hampshire woman is looking for her late husband's ashes.

Two urns containing his remains were lost in the mail when she sent them to her husband's daughter.

News 9's Jean Mackin spoke with Allison Kelley.

"I just felt like I lost him all over again," she said.

Chuck Kelley suffered a heart attack and died in August at the age of 58.  She sent his ashes to his daughter in Florida so she could scatter his ashes in his favorite fishing spot in the Florida Keys.

"He told me that was heaven to him and when he died he wanted his ashes put there," Kelley said.

But when the package arrived, the tape on the box was split open and the two urns packaged in bubble wrap were gone.  Only Chuck's flannel shirts arrived at his daughter's doorstep.

"She keeps on reminding me that her dad's in heaven and these ashes are just ashes.  But I think to really move on we need to do what he wanted," Kelley said.

Kelley said she tracked the package from post offices in New Hampshire to New Jersey and on to Florida.  She's hoping the urns fell out at one of those stops and hopes sharing her story of loss will help find her husband's remains.

"I'm hoping it's sitting on someone's desk and they just don't know who it belongs to," she said.
