The median sales price of an existing single-family home on Oahu in November jumped seven percent over the same month last year and was just shy of an all-time high, according to figures released Saturday by the Honolulu Board of Realtors.
The median sales price was listed at $684,000 compared with $640,000 in November of 2012. The new number is about $1,000 shy of the record, the Board said.
The median price means half the homes sold for more than the stated price and half sold for less.
Sales were up slightly with 296 homes sold last month compared with 290 sold last year.
Condominium sales were up 12 percent last month over 2012, 407 to 363. The median sales price of condos was up 1.5 percent at $330,000. In November of 2012 the median sales price was $325,000
