Alexander St. on-ramp reopened after oil spill

HONOLULU -

Honolulu police say the Alexander Street on-ramp to the H-1 Freeway's westbound lanes was closed due to an oil spill Wednesday morning.

The announcement was made just after 7:30 a.m.

Motorists are advised to avoid the area.

One viewer sent in this photo of mauka-bound traffic on McCully Street backed up near King Street.

The road was reopened at around 10 a.m.
