The funds will provide more beds for the growing number of seniors at the Palolo Chinese Home.

In 2003, PCH started a redevelopment project to update its facility. The funds will go to completing the final phase of its renovations.

A Progressive Care Complex will be built to add 69 beds, totaling 130 beds at the home. The dining hall was upgraded last year to create a community center for the seniors.

The directors say the new facility will help meet the anticipated need for long term care.
