HO`OLEHUA, Hawaii -

The Federal Aviation Administration is investigating why a small plane was forced to make an emergency landing at the Molokai Airport on Tuesday.

FAA officials say the nose gear of the Piper PA-28 collapsed on landing.

The pilot was the only person on board and he was not injured.  The plane sustained minor damage.
