MOUNTAIN VIEW, Hawaii -

Big Island police say at least two people are dead and as many as two others were injured after a vehicle crashed into a utility pole in Glenwood Wednesday.

It happened just before 4 p.m. on North Glenwood Road.

Sources say North Glenwood Road is closed in both directions about a quarter mile from Highway 11.

A neighborsays she heard the commotion, and ran to see what had happened.

"Upside down. The tires were still spinning. There was smoke coming out. Me and my cousin ran to help to see if they're OK," said Alyssa Olivar.

Police say one of the victims has been identified as Patrick Agcalon of Mountain View.   No word yet on the status of the two others injured or what caused the crash
