Police looking for green sedan in Kaimuki hit-and-run

HONOLULU -

Honolulu police have released images of a car that is believed to have struck a 94-year-old man in Kaimuki and fled the scene.

The hit-and-run happened last Friday just after 7:30 a.m.

The victim was crossing Waialae Avenue near Fifth Avenue when he was struck by a vehicle traveling east on Waialae Avenue.

The driver reportedly ran a red light and failed to stop and render aid.  The vehicle is a green 4-door sedan was damage to the passenger side windshield.

The victim was hospitalized with head and internal injuries.  He was released from the hospital and is recovering from his injuries.
