Police looking for Makiki attempted sex assault suspect

The attempted sexual assault early yesterday morning has Makiki residents on edge and police asking for the public's help.

HONOULU -

CrimeStoppers and the Honolulu Police Department are seeking the public’s
assistance in locating a manwanted for Attempted Sexual Assault in the
First Degree.

On June 6, 2013, at approximately 3 a.m., the victim was riding her bicycle to
a friend’s house and stopped on Wilder Avenue near Keeaumoku Street.

While stopped, a man approached, pushed her off the bicycle, and attempted to
sexually assault her.  The victim fought and was able to fend off the man.  The
man fled on foot on Keeamoku Street.

The man is in his 20s, around 5-feet-8-inches-tall, 170 to 180 pounds with brown, wavy shoulder-length hair and brown eyes.  He was wearing a light-green hooded sweatshirt, a dark-colored shirt and baggy denim long pants.
