Police looking for witnesses in Aiea hit-and-run

Police are tracking down a driver who hit a pedestrian and fled the scene in Aiea.

HONOLULU -

CrimeStoppers and the Honolulu Police Department are seeking witnesses to a hit-and-run last Saturday in Aiea.

At around 12:24 a.m., a man in his 20s was crossing Kamehameha Highway at Hekaha Street when he was struck by a vehicle.  That vehicle fled the scene.

The vehicle is possibly a 1993 through 1995 Ford Ranger or Explorer with damage to the front right headlight assembly.

The man was taken to the hospital in critical condition.
