Police reclassify Maui missing persons case as homicide

WAILUKU, Hawaii -

Maui County police have reclassified the missing persons case for Carly "Charli" Scott as a homicide investigation on Friday.

Police say Scott's family has been notified of the change.  Since the investigation is ongoing, no further information will be released by police at this time.

Scott, 27, has been missing since Feb. 9.  She was five months pregnant when she went missing.

On Feb. 13, her burned out car was found near the surf spot Jaws.  She was last seen on Feb. 9 by her ex-boyfriend.
