HONOLULU -

A Hawaii political action group is calling for an apology from the owner of McCully business after the picture of the business' sign went viral on social networking sites.

The controversial sign is at the Hawaiian Rent-All's Beretania Street store.

IMUAlliance says the sign publicly demeans women and trivializes the plight of sex-trafficking victims in Hawaii.

IMUAlliance co-drafted House Bill 1926, which prevents police from engaging in sexual penetration during the course of prostitution investigations.

Hawaiian Rent-All issued the following statement:

"As an Equipment rental company, Hawaiian Rent All carries lawn & garden equipment.  Tools that are available for rent include garden hoes, concrete hoes, mortar hoes and back hoes.  Hawaiian Rent All is unaware of any other meanings or uses for these tools."

We will have more on this story tonight on KITV4 News at 5, 6 and 10.
